This is the facade of the Ukrainian National Museum.
The building is exuberantly decorated with
all kinds of statues made in different styles
from primitive folk art to baroque and classicism.
It is probably the most decorated facade in Lviv.
The museum was founded by Cardinal Andrey Sheptytsky,
the prominent leader of the Ukrainian-Catholic church,
who started it as a Greek-Catholic
collection of ecclesiastical art.
It now has an excellent collection of Ukrainian icons,
handicrafts and paintings starting from the 14th century.
